Guest Posting, the False Good Idea
The idea is not new. Why should I do something if I can pay somebody to do it for me? Blogging requires a lot of time and it can be tempting to hire a Guest Blogger to blog for you. But what's a guest blogger?
A guest blogger is a person that will be posting on a blog that is not his (her) own. This practice is very popular because it grows the traffic of the target blog, by working as an exchange of audience. When you write on someone else blog, you bring your audience to this blog, and vice versa.
But this practice became so popular that the quality of the content decreased and now Google flags as spam poor content in guest blogging, as well as pay per link contributions. Good guest bloggers are rare, and most of them just drop a load of keywords and anchor links directly on the page to drive traffic, without any thought for the content itself and its inner value. As Matt Cutts from Google says very well " Guest blogging seems like it’s the fad of the month" and there are risks in this one. If you really need an opinion from an expert, somebody who know what he is talking about and knows about SEO. This person will be an asset when he will guest blog for you. But it should not be a full time job because it will cost you a ton of money for something that will be flagged as spam and will never bring traffic.
At Marketing MadEZ, we sometimes offer to our clients blog content creation and guest blogging, but it is still very rare and we suggest them to get a dedicated writer to work with them and us to produce original content.
No paid links, no guest blogging and Take It EZ.
